Mālō e lelei Tonga! Bom, na verdade, Nofo ā Tonga!
Nesse exato momento estou tomando chá de cadeira no aeroporto de Abu Dabhi, esperando o meu vôo que sai daqui 12 horas. E é nessas horas de não ter o que fazer que eu resolvo postar no blog (ai ai!). hahah
Pra quem me acompanha no instagram, já viu que algumas semanas atrás eu estava em Tonga! Então seguem algumas fotos dos meus dois primeiros dias por lá!

At this moment, I am having a "chair's tea" in the Abu Dabhi's airport (the saying doesnt work well in english, but it just means that I will be waiting for a loooong time sitting on a chair). I am waiting for my flight that leaves in 12 hours, after fiding out at immigration that I needed a visa which the travel agent didnt tell me about. hahaha. Anyway, it's in times of not having much to do that I decide to post on the blog (how embarassing!). haha
Oh well, if you follow me on instagram, you probably noticed that I went to Tonga some weeks ago! So here are some photos of my first days over there! =)
Eu acho muuuito difícil chamar Tonga de país. É uma ilha tão pequena! Provavelmente o reino inteiro é maior que meu bairro em Belo Horizonte! Que tem muito, muito menos gente eu tenho certeza. O que é legal. O povo de Tonga é como uma grande família feliz. Mas enfim, Tonga é um reino localizado lá no meio do oceano pacifico. Alí:
I find it really difficult to call Tonga a country. It is such a tiny island! The whole kingdom is probably smaller than my neibourhood in Belo Horizonte! It has much fewer people! Which is good. The Tongan people are like a big happy family. Anyway, Tonga is a kingdom located in the Pacific Ocean. Over there:
Day 1
No meu primeiro dia, caminhei e fiquei perdida (claro) no centro de Nuku'Alofa. Andei umas quatro horas até chegar onde eu queria, e quando cheguei andei mais umas quatro. E olha que pedi muita informação.
Uma das coisas que notei é que o pessoal de Tonga não anda muito. Pedi informação pra uma menina, que me falou que eu tinha que pegar um ônibus.
Eu: Não dá pra ir andando?
Menina: Nãaaao!! (Olho esbugalhadíssimo e balançando a cabeça)
Resultado final: Teimosa que sou, resolvi ir andando mesmo assim e gastei 10 minutos pra chegar! Passando por essas belezuras aí de baixo.
On my first day, I walked a lot and got lost (of course) in the center of Nuku'Alofa. I walked for about 4 hours to get where I wanted, and after I found it, I walked four hours more. And I did ask for directions quite a lot!
One of the things I noticed is that the Tongan people doesn't walk very much. I asked a girl for direction and she informed me that I had to catch a bus,
Me: Can I not walk there?
The girl: Nooooo! (Looking at me with wide open eyes and shaking her head)
Result: I am such a stubborn kid that I decided to walk anyway and it took me 10 minutes to get where I wanted! Walking passed these beautiful things down there.

Day 2
Domingo é dia de igreja! E sinceramente, acho que 90% (ou até mais) da população vai à igreja nos domingos. Passei em duas pra dar uma conferida. =) Não tem absolutamente ninguém na rua e tudo que se ouve em cada esquina é música de igreja. Tem muuuita igreja por sinal! E muita gente também se encontra na casa de amigos.
Sunday is church day! And honestly, I think 90% (or more) of the population goes to the church on Sundays. I walked into two of them to have a look. =) There's absolutely no one around, and all you hear on every street is church music.There are so many churches around! And a lot of people also meet at friend's houses.
Day 3
No terceiro dia conheci um casal americano que me deu uma carona pra mais lugares legais! Até recebemos uma multa da polícia, por dirigir em alta velocidade! Estávamos em uma estrada, à 54km/h sendo que o limite era 50km/h! =P haha..Fora isso, seguem mais algumas fotos.
On my third day I met an american couple that gave me a ride to some other cool places! We even got a fine from the police for driving at high speed. We were on a highway at 54km/h and the limit was 50km/h! hahah Apart from that, here are some more photos.
Essa última foto é de um dos lugares mais legais que eu já fui! Uma caverna abaixo do mar!
E a vantagem de eu ter ido fora de época de férias, é que o passeio de $40 me saiu por $10, e o guia da caverna (que por sinal, é um cara super simples, dono do terreno), nos levou pra partes da caverna em que ele geralmente não leva...onde tem essa agua verde/azul maravilhosa!

This last photo was from one of the most amazing places I've ever been! A cave under the sea!
The advantage of travelling out of season was that the "tour" that is usually $40, cost me $10, and the guide (who is a very simple man who owns the land) took us to places in the cave that he usually doesn't take people...where you can swin in this gooorgeous blue/green/transparent water!
Ahhh....I miss it already!
